Brought together by need...

In 1972, eleven members of the Michigan Retail Advisory Board of Super Food Services, Inc. in Vassar, Michigan established the Michigan Association of SFS Retailers (MASFSR). The association addressed common concerns brought about by the emergence of large competitors and changing times. In October, 2000, the Association determined it was important to change it's name to the Independent Food Retailers Assocation (IFRA).

There are over 100 retailers in the Association today, looking forward to the success of the independent grocers in the new century and beyond!

Not only do we work together to build stronger businesses, but we also participate in group golf outings, annual trips, and meet regularly. We are a strong organization, committed to one another for future success.
